(Interestingly search steps diagonal has a max of 16 according to SweetFx 2.0 but in MasterEffect the max is reported as 32)Ĭorner rounding further helps removing aliasing but it will affect HUD elements more (and text in particular) so I keep it at 0 (Default of SweetFx 2.0)Įdge Detect mode I would use 2 on with prediction enabled which additionally uses the depth buffer, from what I recently read on these forums if you use a value of 3 it uses the depth buffer only which might be cleaner but could miss a few objects and if you use a value of 3 with prediction it would use the depth buffer twice for no improvement in quality but there will be a increased performance hit. The max search step option(s) is probably where you'll see most of the difference in quality, personally I maxed them out but for performance reasons the default values of SweetFx 2.0 are probably more than enough. I'm no expert but from the description in the shader file the threshold value at values below 0.1 can introduce false edges, which I think means it wrongly detects more edges with aliasing than there is and tries to fix them, perhaps affecting overall visual quality or maybe just decreases performance.

The good news doesn't stop there… if you like what you see here you can grab the whole lot with a 50% discount. The truth is that there are plenty of virtual analogs out there, but Arturia were amongst the first to bring truly believable emulations to the table.Īrturia continue to make top-notch soft synths and now you lucky people can get the best they have to offer in one convenient package called the 'V Collection'. I've always been a huge Arturia fan and have often recommended their instruments and hardware. Micro USB was once the connector of choice for applications where USB-A was too big, but now USB-C has come to dominate all. All the necessary parts are relatively easily available, and the PCB files can be had on GitHub. If you’re looking to build a small robot chassis that’s great at moving about in tight, small spaces, this could be a great project to learn with. Plus, it can effectively tank turn without excessive slippage thanks to the rollers on each wheel. An ESP32 serves as the brains of the ‘bot, allowing it to be readily remote controlled via a PS4 gamepad over Bluetooth. Depending on the direction of rotation of the various wheels, the robot can move forward, backwards, and even strafe left and right. The robot has four mecanum wheels, each driven by its own motor. The design is similar to those we’ve seen in the past. set about building just such a robot chassis, and learned plenty in the process. Depending on their direction of rotation, they can generate forces in any planar direction, providing for great maneuverability. Mecanum wheels are popular choices for everything from robots to baggage handling equipment in airports. If you know how to use a word processor, you know how to use Descript. Cut, copy, paste, and delete text, and the audio/video goes along for the ride. With Descript, you edit audio and video by editing text. Descript can turn any storyteller into a video editor With one tool, you can make podcasts, record and edit product demos videos, create audiograms for social media, add subtitles to your videos, generate ultra realistic text to speech voiceover, organize customer research, and a lot more. An all-in-one audio/video multitool for marketersĭescript’s all in one audio/video editor is an essential part of the marketing toolkit. Descript makes powerful editing easy and collaborative, so you can tell your story with video without an editing degree. but making good video is hard, time consuming, and expensive. Video is clearly the more effective way to reach consumers. 80% of consumers prefer watching a video to reading text. It uses Electron as its base, which enables it to be cross platform and work on Mac, Windows and Linux. The code of the editor is completely Open Source, and there’s no payment required to use it. This editor builds on top of decades of editor experience from Microsoft. If you’re looking for suggestions for whether to use it or not, let me say yes, you should switch to it from whatever other editor you are using now. In the last 12 months I’ve been using VS Code, the Open Source editor from Microsoft, and it’s quickly become my favorite editor ever. I largely prefer an editor over an IDE, as it’s faster and gets less in the way. The difference between an IDE and an editor is mostly in the feature set, and complexity. I can remember TextMate, TextWrangler, Espresso, BBEdit, XCode, Coda, Brackets, Sublime Text, Atom, vim, PHPStorm. I used tons of editors and IDEs in the past few years. In the Unix world you have those Emacs vs vi “wars”, and I kind of imagine why so much time is spend debating the advantages of one versus another. Some people defend their editor choice strenuously. Since the beginning, editors are a strange beast. But what if we could record a single video that fits both orientations?Ĭarousel Camera records videos using a square format to enable a great trick when you’re watching them on your phone. Some people are used to recording videos vertically because of social networks, but they don’t look as good to watch on a TV or computer. It’s worth noting that the multi-cam feature requires an iPhone 11 or later. In addition to the multi-cam features, users can adjust and choose frame rate, resolution, focus, and exposure.ĭoubleTake costs $3.99 and is available on the App Store without in-app purchases. There’s also an option to easily create a single video using multiple lenses with a split-screen effect. Users can combine the front camera with one of the rear cameras, or even use two different rear lenses. You can choose two different lenses to record a video at the same time, which is great for multi-cam projects. The app was highlighted by Apple at the iPhone 11 Pro launch event in 2019. DoubleTakeĭoubleTake is an app created by the same developers behind FiLMiC Pro, but this one focuses on letting users shoot a video using two iPhone cameras at the same time. Some extra features can be unlocked through in-app purchases. Pro users have access to gamma curve controls, image stabilization, movie presets, audio synchronization, and downsampling.įiLMiC Pro is available on the App Store for $14.99. There are also options to quickly switch between color profiles, HDR modes, ProRes codecs, and resolutions. The app comes with multiple manual controls that let you adjust focus, exposure, ISO, frame rate, zoom, and more. FiLMiC Pro is probably the number one app for users who are serious about shooting video with their iPhone. Another component, tabs, creates a tabbed interface with support for native-style navigation and history state management. One such component, virtual scroll, allows users to scroll through a list of thousands of items without any performance hits. Using Web Components, Ionic provides custom components and methods for interacting with them. Ionic includes mobile components, typography, interactive paradigms, and an extensible base theme. Ionic allows app building and deployment by wrapping around the build tool Cordova or Capacitor with a simplified 'ionic' command line tool. Users can build their apps, and they can then be customized for Android, iOS, Windows, Desktop (with Electron), or modern browsers. Ionic uses Cordova and, more recently, Capacitor plugins to gain access to host operating systems features such as Camera, GPS, Flashlight, etc. Since January 2019, Ionic 4 allows developers to choose other frameworks apart from Angular like React, Vue.js, and web components. After releasing an alpha version of the framework in November 2013, a 1.0 beta was released in March 2014, a 1.0 final in May 2015, and several 2.0 releases in 2016. In particular, mobile apps can be built with these Web technologies and then distributed through native app stores to be installed on devices by utilizing Cordova or Capacitor. Ionic provides tools and services for developing hybrid mobile, desktop, and progressive web apps based on modern web development technologies and practices, using Web technologies like CSS, HTML5, and Sass. It also allows the use of Ionic components with no user interface framework at all. However, the latest release was re-built as a set of Web Components, allowing the user to choose any user interface framework, such as Angular, React or Vue.js. The original version was released in 2013 and built on top of AngularJS and Apache Cordova. Ionic is a complete open-source SDK for hybrid mobile app development created by Max Lynch, Ben Sperry, and Adam Bradley of Drifty Co. |
